OUR STORY
Beranghi Homestead has been lovingly restored by Jewellery Designer, Kirstin Ash, and her husband, Barrelhouse Co-Founder, Julian Train. In keeping with its history, they have brought this former dairy farm back to life through a careful and considered renovation with the traditional Australian farmhouse in mind.
As one of the original homesteads of the mid-north coast region, Beranghi is rich in history. Built in the 1800s it has previously served not only as a working dairy farm, but also as post office and school house. Honouring this, Kirstin and Julian wanted to create a unique space full of original charm and character but also with all the essentials and modern day luxuries needed to make the homestead a truly relaxing and luxurious home away from home.
With this in mind, Beranghi retains many of its stunning original features - think hardwood floors, high ceilings, and a wrap-around veranda - but also features fresh white walls, multiple large entertaining areas, handpicked antique furniture and luxurious beds and furnishings.
Brass detailing, vintage trinkets and carefully curated artwork add a warm, homely touch throughout, and a much-loved sunny reading nook overlooks the surrounding lush green paddocks, ancient Moreton Bay Figs and huge Australian Gums.
Created with friends and families in mind, Kirstin and Julian have brought Beranghi Homestead back to life offering guests a truly special place to enjoy slow days and special times.
